Old, but gold. I can spin this album frequently after all this time, and that's tough to say about any metalcore album with a few exceptions.

That's really, really hard to tell. Miscarriage stroke me the hardest in the beginning but The Father's Seed and Small Face are equally amazing. Bully and Rat Poison would be almost just as good though. Rest is pretty good but that's it.
The album closer is also wow. Beautiful, the whole concept is.

For me it's Miscarriage and Filth, followed by Unwelcome and Rat Poison. It's all good, I agree. The concept is heavy, but man Landon must be pretty messed up based off of the lyrics he writes.

He's putting it all out, all the negativity as a reflection of the bumps of his life. It's a
meaningful, cold hearted story that is supposed to leave you sad and reflect upon how shitty people
and life's circumstances in general can be. As a writer myself, i can definitely see where he comes
from with his lyrics and concept.
That Premeditated videoclip and feud with Austin Carlile aside, i don't see how he wouldn't be a
perfectly level headed person. Just adressing your comment about the album lyrics/concept, in the
way i see it if he's to be blamed for being messed up i don't think that would be for his lyrics. We
all have a side of us that's dark, sad and carries the weight of the world. Roughly speaking, Landon
shows us his.
Hope that makes sense. Actually a point of view i feel good putting out tbh, just never came across
the opportunity.

I really didn't hear much about the feud with him and Carlile, but I suppose someone swept it underneath the covers. I can too, definitely, and I agree with you on nearly all points. He's gone through stuff and instead of finding sanctuary in being introverted he wants to share it with everyone. Though, I mean his childhood seems very blurry and dark. He seemingly talks about it enough, but never directly addresses what happened or if what he speaks is his past or someone else's, or even fictional. The concept is no doubt wonderful, and the emotion is what makes most of the album, I just wonder if he's really all that dark.

I wouldn't be able to tell you what's the case. There was a talk about his girlfriend being raped while he was away on tour (premeditated), and allegedly he speaks about his childhood on First Born and Wife Beater. Even if it is fictional, he would be dwelving deep in the darkest of topics as in to generate awareness on life's darkest issues, as to channel his own heartaches in the form of lyrics. Either way, i like his works!

Hmm, I enjoyed some of it but it definitely wasn't of this caliber. Hoping the next record will sound more like this.
