Im someone who never got over person pitch, but im someone who got bored very easily with this album. Alastian darn and last night at the jetty are fantastic, but the rest just seems to be missing the unexplained kick in it, which is what AC has. I dont know, its just not my thing.

After one full listen, I'm going with a 3.5. Definitely wayyyyyy more stripped-down than PP. "Afterburner" made me shit my pants the moment it kicked in. Definitely going to give this way more time before final judgment though, but as for now, I can get down.

cokemachineglow are fun but after a while i get tired of their self-consciously nebulous and weird and bad descriptions like
"Like its long, harried gestation and opaque simplicity suggest, herein churns the sediment of something bigger and more unruly and, I guess, with more narrative slime. …Who am I kidding? This shit is slimy enough"
which i guess is a good break from overly pragmatic review sites that are just like Band Info for three paragraphs but still. sometimes that shit just doesn't make any sense
