just checked out Lunar Wilderness.
That was amazing.

lunar wilderness is 2legit. that solo like 2 minutes-ish in is gorgeous haha.
as far as all this wholly unnecessary (which is why i'm joining in) debate about the talent of the band goes, i'd have to say tommy is probably the weakest member, even though i love almost everything he does. and don't be underestimating dusty. he may primarily play the "rhythm" parts and be boring as fuck live but he's the biggest contributor to the more spacey/atmospheric/you know what i mean guitar parts, which i know a lot of y'all like better than the heavier parts

since we're ranking band members..
Briggs > Waggoner > Richardson > Rogers > Waring.
Choosing between Tommy and Dustie was very difficult, i love all these guys though. You guys seriously underrate Dan, he writes most of the music with Paul and is such a beast live.

tommy and dan are the only ones with an interesting stage presence. seeing these guys again next week, should be
pretty good

This 30 minute "EP" could stand to lose about 10 minutes
|

rogers is by far the most energetic live, at least he was when i saw them last year.

i love the thing he does when he holds up his hand

he has the most epic hand gestures ever.

with bands like btbam you can't really dislike them for a lack of stage presence... like dear god could you move around much playing the stuff that paul and dusty play?

I just listen and don't even notice that they don't move

the dillinger esc plan has ridiculous stage presence

This is a bit of grower for me, like most of their stuff. That's usually a good sign.
Specular Reflection is still the most impressive here I think. Love the "I open my eyes" part about halfway through; surprisingly groovy and smooth. Also digging the overlapping time signatures in the intro and later in the song.

he can play every instrument and is insanely underrated on vocals and keys.
hes mediocre on drums and keys (but he is improving), hes alright at guitar, good at vocals. the one great thing about him is stage presence though. Every other member is phenomenal at what they do, including Dustie.

It was pretty good, nothing special here.

Tommy definitely dominates stage presence. Plus he's hilarious to watch because of the facial expressions he makes when he screams, lol.
Whatever though, every member is insane musically; ranking Tommy last doesn't say anything bad about his vocals; the rest of the band is just that good.
And Dusty may be as boring as shit live, but I think his talent is hugely overlooked simply because of that. He's really an incredible guitar player.
