Oh man the riff in the middle of Nightmare Heaven is so awsome.

I just gave both LMI and this a few spins =D This is OK, but LMI is terrible

LMI has it's moments, but it's nowhere near as good as this. Most of the other stuff isn't that amazing though.

I dont know if this is THAT much better tbh - Garm's effort is pretty average and Sverd is just mainly wanking with swiss cheese. This would have been downright awful if it wasnt for Ihsahn and Hellhammer absolutely owning, imo.

Well The Dystopia Journals is better than every Arcturus album except this one. It's very similar stylistically except it's a little more sinister sounding and the guitars are a lot meatier. Not as much piano-humping too. The vocalists is like a baritone Garm.
