I can't believe the skipped the ambiental part of Le Corridor on Tournee... easily one of the coolest moments in the album

The arranged orchestral bridges between the songs and some ambient passages were for the most part removed to give the music all the freedom and the energy generally found in a respectable live rock performance. Here we give more room to the brass section, and to the keys to compensate the lack of the strings and the absence of the classical passages found on L'Heptade.

The last 3 minutes of Le Premier Ciel are probably the best 3 minutes in the band's discog

It takes more patience to get into L'Heptade compared to the more in-your-face Les 5 Saisons, mostly because of its quantity of orchestral, classical passages that one can consider like detours. Les 5 Saisons is way more easy to listen to, but both are classics anyway.

I think this is way easier to listen to since it is proggier while 5 Saisons is too folky

Here we got some vaporous, atmospheric passages and classical interludes here and there (not that it's bad, at the contrary, but it can drag for a new listener). Les 5 Saisons is more in-your-face than L'Heptade.

One of the hardest 5s ever..... Some of the most beautiful music that exists is probably on this record

Are the final minutes of Le Premier Ciel still the best thing ever?

Yes

Le Premier Ciel is not only great for the keyboards, its sang parts are probably still greater.

this sounds completely different to Les Cinq Saisons

The main difference is the orchestral bridges of L'Heptade that give the album a classical touch, and it also offers more ambitious epics and ethereal compositions for the most part. They definitely flirt with symphonic prog genre on here. However, Les 5 Saisons is more ''in your face''. On the other hand, I could see ''Comme un Fou'' on Les 5 Saisons, and I could see both ''Histoires Sans Paroles'' and ''Depuis l'Automne'' on l'Heptade. One can always detect their ''sophisticated'' folky roots in any of their releases, but the folk vibes are more present on Les 5 Saisons and on their first album.

the classical passages are the only thing that may be considered "weak" in here, the ambitious epics and ethereal stuff on the other side were an excellent idea though since those moments are the best the band ever did

''...those moments are the best the band ever did''

100% agreed.

The orchestral bridges come from the background, and they're only used as interludes to glue the songs together. It's all in the same style as for The Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed. I think the formula is good with moderation, as these two albums are showing.
