his production thrives on new technology and is too crisp to remind me of anything older. If I would compare to anyone else I'd say it sounds like a combination of Monolake (with the higher pitched treble details on albums like Silence and Cinemascope) and Ricardo Villalobos (which makes sense because that's his favorite artist)

It's a great album no doubt, I just don't get all the attention this album has got in regards to how "innovative" and "fresh" it is. Jaar has chops obviously, but he wears his heart far too prominently on his sleeve
