All That Remains new album doesn't suck, it's just as good as TFoI imo. It's total BA.
But yeah there's gonna be a lot of good bands releasing new albums this year. Really excited for Opeth this fall. I also kinda hope Katatonia goes back in studio some time this year.

I guess it's cuz FWaM grew on me. That's why I say it's just as good as The Fall of Ideas, but that solo at the end of 'Won't Go Quietly' is sick, not gonna lie on that.

Christian Älvestam, I've never liked any of the bands he's been in where he's used clean vocals (eg. Scar Symmetry, Miseration, Solution .45). When I heard that he was making a guest appearance on 'Mortuus Machina' I have to say, I expected the album to take a hit and be absolutely crap.
I put my hands up though, the vocals aren't that bad on this album. The cleans are only on a few songs and that helps the album overall as it gives it a bit of variety. Even the song with the power metal style vocals isn't too bad and I'm not a fan of those style vocals at all.
As for the musicianship, it's of a high standard. There's no one song that really stands out, mainly because each track on this album is of an equally high standard. I'd even go as far as stating 'Mortuus Machina' is one of the stronger melo-death albums of 2010.
