the wails and cries from Dean here reminds me of a country singer that used to play in a restaurant at Monte Verde, a country city in Brazil which I used to go a lot with my parents as a kid, the singer had a very similar way of doing this very expressive cries. my father always bought his CDs when he was selling at the restaurant, and he used to play it almost every other car travel, normally i would hate pretty soon all the CDs my dad overplayed on the car stereo, but these ones kind of stayed with me somehow, the lyrics are pretty simple, "country stuff" u kno, but still very expressive and humorous, and it had some pretty good harmonies. After a long time, when I was probably around 16, i discovered this album, and as soon I heard Dean wailing, it evoked me of that country singer, and still makes me remember of those, even with it's several problems, a much simpler and happier time.

There’s not a huge difference in quality but I do like this and This Is Our Music distinctly more than Today.
