However hard I try with this album, I just can't rate it any higher. Lord Worm may be back on vocals but it doesn't really do much to improve the album's quality. I think my main quip with the album is that a lot of the songs to me seem largely unfocused and unmemorable. In particular I'd say that 'The curse of the great' and 'Angelskingarden' (which is way too long for its own good) are the worst examples of this. There are some great songs such as 'Adeste infidelis' and 'The pestilence that walketh in darkness', which I really amaze me with the instrumentation, but for the most part I just find myself bored with the album as a whole.

I like None So Vile, Blasphemy Made Flesh, Whisper Supremacy and (gasp!) their self-titled more than this. Lord Worm is back and that's great and all, but he sounds really weird on this and everyone else seems like they don't know what kind of sound they want to capture.
