when you deem me so high?

I've fallen so far
From the people you are
I just need your star for a day
that line fucking kills me every time

Would you love me ‘til I’m dead
Oh, if you would and you could
Come blow your horn on high
(you can totally tell he'd been jamming astral weeks!)

astral weeks is like trudging for weeks in the snow, tired and cold and hungry and then coming upon this nice warm lil cozy house

speak your case?

It has the best songs like the first two songs, Day Is Done, and Thoughts of Mary Jane. He is best melancholic which this definitely is throughout, whereas Bryter is...well...brighter hehe. Pink Moon is good but I don't think it has better songwriting and it's not half as dynamic as the other two. It's supposedly more intimate and all that, but I don't buy it. It has his best guitar playing and that's it. Imagine if Pink Moon was his first album and Five Leaves his last, I think same as Dylan everyone would praise him for his continual ambition and growth :p

Solid choice. I'd choose Pink Moon over this, but this one's brilliant as well.

River Man is my favourite. There's something mysterious about that song I can't find anywhere else.
