Same here. It just lacks any "ooomph" ya know? There's no flare, no energy, no aggression, nothing. The melodies are lazy and weak, the vocals are whiny and it's too slow to be interesting at all.

Don't think it really lacks energy. Plenty of energy is provided in all the catchy riffs present here and the vocals are way less "whiny" than they have been in the past.

this album sounds really good im liking it. i liked Legend alot from them. in the shadow of a thousand suns was pretty good. but im happy they got rid of the unnecessary breakdowns over all good review and good album
