Yeah let's be honest here, if you're gonna steal Guitar idea's from someone, just steal it from Jimi.

He was so creative for his time that it wasn't even fair.

Nah, he's amazing but several guitarists surpass him in that regard.

Hehe, he's just one of the guitarists I was thinking of (although admittedly the first one that sprang to mind).

Castles Made Of Sand is among my all-time favorite rock songs. All of Experience's albums are so outstanding that I can't choose which one I love the best.

So which others were you thinking of?

Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Albert King. Naturally the one's that sprung to mind were all blues/blues-related guitarists.

@Pleb: Jimi rules (obviously) so I won't argue with you, even though you're wrong ;)

It's not so much the ability to transmit rather than Jimi himself being the embodiment of shoving it in 'the mans' face while melting everyone' else's face that he is, for me incomparable.

False. Rory Gallagher was the greatest guitarist to ever live. Hendrix even (allegedly) admitted it

I think Pleb half said that to try and wind me up Con, I wouldn't read too much into it.
