Gotta say... I think it's more than that bro. it really sounds like a really nice culmination of the entire decade that came before and done really really well. I hear lots and lots of influences in here.

that it is. If I had to come up with one defining characteristic though I would say its a huge influence on THRASH, because its much faster and less bluesy than traditional 70s heavy metal.
