Not bad but not their best.

It's so tiring, no joke I'd rather spin anything else in the discog. There are individual songs I can dig though

here it goes for all you hoes
debut
life is peachy
issues
follow the leader = untouchables
serenity of suffering
take a look in the mirror and see you on the other side have redeemable qualities but as albums they suffer
the rest sucks

korn - great uncle

@rom: eh as a whole it's one of their weakest yeah but it has its sweet cuts. I Will Protect You for example is great, especially Bozzio's drum soloing and the central part in general

Aside from the first album, this is the only one they ever made that isn't half filler. I still love how this album flows, every track is consistently strong. That's kind of amazing since they were never able pull that off again.

Idk I was talked into checking them out and I thought I'd stop right after the s/t but months passed and I just finished The Serenity of Suffering a few days ago. I'm honestly looking forward to spin most albums again.
They do tend to have problems with album consistency though, yeah. Still, considering the low averages, I'm more than surprised. I never thought I'd say this but it's actually a serviceable discography for me

this album holds a nostalgic value for me, and it does flow a lot better than most of their albums!

Yeah I think this is better than most of their albums and severely underrated - although I get why that is. It's not as weird and crazy as some of their earlier ones.

I was just thinking about this album today.
Thinking about it was the beginning of the end.

I like it more than Issues. Issues has some classic tracks but also a TON of bullshit and that thing meanders all over the place
|
| |
Yeah all those interludes and shit, yeah I know man. Issues is where I really started to taper off, and then Untouchables dropped and I liked maybe a fourth of the album. Korn was my favorite band in middle school which was the mid-ish 90's, so the first 3 albums are what REALLY do it for me. Especially Life Is Peachy. I played so much Sega Saturn to that album, hahaha.

Saaammmmeeee in middle school my life was all about Korn and Slipknot. I think we're around the same age so good times. These youngin's don't get the power of the frosted tips and adidas jackets.

Love this album so much

Just looking at the cover art of this one makes me want to reach the skip button even if nothing is playing, it represents well how claustrophobic and samey it sounds. Least favorite Korn easily, I know it sounds crazy but sorry it's basically 60 minutes of mostly torture for me. Blame is cool though.
Issues is bloated but Somebody Someone might just be their best song

You hate this more than the albums that came after this? I dunno about that
|
| |
("hate" fits only for a full listen btw, otherwise I don't really hate any Korn)
Well yeah they started branching out and made some interesting stuff after this one, though balanced by some cringy songs here and there admittedly. The hate for the second half of the discog is really puzzling to me, it's like everybody only talks about the missfires and trashes whole albums because of them. You know maybe I should make a list with a bunch of favorites from each album just for fun
