This kind of stuff is all about the hooks and Ben's got them in spades

Yeah I’ve always thought he was one of the best hook writers. Also helps his voice is so great. This album is great but the lyrics really hold it back. WANA is my favorite from them. I feel like they were running on all cylinders on that one

Phobia is the album that made me appreciate this band, but this and WANA are really close. 'Wish I May' was the first BB track I heard, during the Wrong Turn end credits lol. Still love that song.

Throughout middle school when they were my favorite band I always loved the shallow bay bonus disc the most. Still love that one.
Nowadays I think their top 3 are wana, dear agony (again those hooks goddamnnn and the production is fire too) and then shallow bay... not necessarily that order.

I used to love phobia a lot and at one point I think it was my favorite but it kind of lacks the appeal of their others to me which is the big hooks and harder hitting production
Basically I have small brain that needs commercial sound 😎

Haha I think Phobia actually has the "easiest" hooks even though the subject matter and vibe is a bit more downtrodden than this or WANA

We Are Not Alone was my first with them and is my favorite, but I think "objectively" Phobia is probably their "best". Equally heavy and poppy, polished enough but not to the point where it sounds overly sterile. Dear Agony is basically Phobia Pt. 2 which I am cool with.

this is better than wana for sure. i love the style on this one; it lends a lot of Tool in places which you don't get with the band's other records

wana is good but can feel dull and overpolished at some parts, this has much better style

Bits like that symphonic bridge in No Games make me think this is probs their best all things considered. It's def the one BB album I'd jam if I needed to pick one right now
