I don't listen to Technical death metal at all but i respect the genre. but i do enjoy bands like the faceless and nechrophagist. This band however, has no proper execution of their ideas. It feels like they are just throwing a bunch of insane riffs all over the place and trying to compress the songs down to length. None of the songs have any substance at all.

I used to loathe this band to exponential porportions. Their older work still irks me to high rates. However, I personally think they made a substantial improvement in all fields with this album. They departed a nice chunk of the tech-wank for a more... shall I say, groove based section? It still maintains the typical format, so to hold the (ever so few) older fans still, but the music still matured. The vocal change is a dramatic improvement, rather then cringe worthy vocals of putridity, they actually sound very good.



Its easy to understand why this album would acquire an abundant of hate, but when compared to their older work, its actually quite good.



Then again, I'm just one of the few people that lurvz there wankin'.

i actually tried to get into this, thought that maybe if i listened to it a couple times id start to "get it." theres nothing to get. this sucks. at least their first album actually had structure and not just a bunch of random shit.

These guys are truley insane. Iv only heard some of their works but man is it crazy. They go ta little bit of a dying fetus vibe mixed with zombie apocalypse chaotic insanity. rather brutal if I say so myself. tho i do agree with the random shit comment, this doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Ill have to pick up some of their older stuff.

lol I actually thought this was for real until i saw "Someday Came Suddenly" and "Felony" ( two of the worst albums in metal ) all in all this band fails at trying to be technical
