I get what you mean about Rhubarb. Feels like the calm after a storm or something.

2nd-to-last track is effectively creepy

fish, I always imagine a lone cabin in the middle of nowhere at the brink of sunset when I hear it. Just feels wildly appropriate.

"Hankie" is my fave creepy track. Don't know why it was excluded from the US release (unless for time concerns).

Yeah. I actually prefer some of the other stuff Doki has done. That guy has a seriously fucked up imagination.

Yep and from what I heard, it was kinda of a joke album to piss off critics. If that rumor is true then I think Richard is at his best when he hates people.

I think I'd really dig this stuff a lot more if the albums weren't 3 hours along. I seriously don't understand the need for the song lengths. Pretty repetitive. Having said that, electronic music is slowly coming around on me.

Took me a while to listen to this album as a whole. Great stuff.

nah all this rdj mysticism i think really gets in the way of his music. sure he has a couple of really great things (SAW 85-92, the analord series) but most of his stuff isnt really that good, with the RDJ album being probably the most overrated album ever.

the guy has talent, but it only comes spurts and his fans are some of the worst in music

analord is hit-and-miss

i care rules and if only druqks was rid of the filler, it would be a classic

i mean i just never thought RDJ had anything that special about any of his music. sure he writes some pretty cool jams but thats all they ever really are. he just mashes up influences and wears them on his sleeves and then just put random annoying shit in his music and suddenly its IDM. i honestly wouldnt really call any of his music IDM except for the very early tracks he contributed to the AI warp series.

idk i just dont get it with RDJ. nothing hes ever done struck me as very original or even thoroughly good, except for SAW 85-92 which i think is an extremely seminal and important album.
