I'm finding this on most best "electronic music" lists
it's really brilliant if you consider that this is almost 20 years old

Keep meaning to check Orbital out but everytime I do I think of The Orb and get sidetracked by Little Fluffy Clouds

Little Fluffy Clouds π I get that yeah.
Although I do personally prefer Orbital over The Orb in about every way possible, so that swings the scales the other way for me. So maybe once you have checked them and when they did click, the same might happen for you! π€πΌπ€©

Trif what time of day is best for these early Orbital jams? Ought to check em soon and I donβt want to go biffing it, playing a lazy afternoon in the sun album with my morning coffee Yβknow?

I think probably start with this one, and for me the time of day does not really matter. It has some chill vibes and some danceable moments, it covers a lot of ground so there's something for all moods. Maybe not necessarily suitable for a sand-still-in-your-eyes awakening soundtrack, but who knows!

"Keep meaning to check Orbital out but everytime I do I think of The Orb and get sidetracked by Little Fluffy Clouds"
This is a very real phenomenon.
For YEARS I got the two confused... as in who did what, "Is that an Orb song, or Orbital?", and the fact that they were direct contemporaries was no help.
Worth pursuing though.
