No I just wanted to fit in with the cool kids(Bloc, Waior) Sadly I like this a little to much to remain as one of them.

Bloc my love...everything I've ever told you has been a lie. I am not Portuguese nor am I a squid. Sadly our relationship has been built on a foundation of lies.

Oh, wow; I'm only three songs in, and I'm really impressed - this is the best post-hardcore I've heard in months.

"Never heard of this lot before, decided I was going to check them out by the second paragraph. I love exciting music." I ummed & ahhed about using that intro, but that's really what I felt listening to the first 2 songs (the first time & pretty much every subsequent listen). Hope you like it Dogget.
"band sounds like a more explosive anberlin" I can see why you might get that impression Mr Glass, but it's probably not true. Hell, a more explosive Anberlin would be like heaven on earth. The reason why I say it's not quite true is because of the lack of vocal hooks I mention. Stephen Christian of Anberlin pulls out vocal hooks without trying, it's much more difficult for Furney and Secret & Whisper.
"haha I'm a musician, that's what I do best :/" LOL... I can see myself getting confused with your thesis already Brah.
"if anything i think his voice sounds more like anthony green" On this album, I agree with sexpoi's comment. On 'GWWhale', he sounded more like Reber, but it's Green here.
"Davey, I AM CANADIAN!!" ... "What? I thought he was from Portugal!" Ok, so let's get this straight. Waior is a Canadian living in Mexico, who spends most of his time in the U.S. LG is a Canadian living in Greenland who spends most of his time in Portugal.
"Oh, wow; I'm only three songs in, and I'm really impressed - this is the best post-hardcore I've heard in months." Glad to hear you like it Ryce. And I do think it's post-hardcore. There was question marks about their debut, but I do feel this is harder in pretty much every way.

im digging silver mountain so hard right now...there's such a weird optimistic sense that song carries that none of their other songs has.

First of all this IS NOT post hardcore. It's more like a harder version of Anberlin. There are a few stand out songs, Youth Cats, Warrior and especially Famous For A Century, but other than that, it really doesn't captivate me. Most choruses are very generic & sound like they've been done a million times before. I'll keep listening to it and attempt to figure out what the fuss is all about.

"im digging silver mountain so hard right now...there's such a weird optimistic sense that song carries that none of their other songs has." I almost felt guilty leaving 'Silver Mountain' off the reco tracks because I know it's gonna grow on me big time.
"First of all this IS NOT post hardcore. It's more like a harder version of Anberlin." What is going on with all the mentioning of Anberlin? Seriously, Furney & Christian sound nothing alike, while the guitars also have very little in common. Anberlin rely on their catchiness, while S&W are almost the opposite. I don't get it. Stop mentioning Anberlin people.

Good review! I loved Great White Whale but this was just too similar for my liking, I wanted them to change it up a bit more. And the singer should learn how to change it up sometimes... not bad for a post-hardcore high pitchd vocalist but just too damn average...
