When I said this was on the same level as Pet Sounds, I wasn't necessarily comparing the sound of the albums, but more the development of a concept throughout, the really thought out melodies, harmonies and lyrics, the song transitions. It's a pop masterpiece just as Pet Sounds for me (IMHO)
