Oh yeah, totally agree with the both of you. I definitely hope they mature 2nd time around... & while I am not entirely confident that they will, I do think they have the ability to. So the ball is well & truly in their court.

No, not at all... When you are starting out. But as they move on with subsequent albums, they will need to become comfortable with their own identity.



That is not a knock on this album... In fact, I wish more bands would keep it simple on their debut... Especially British bands who usually burst out of the blocks & then die in the ass come album #2.

Groups don't seem to be given very much time nowadays by either record companies or audience. They have to create a huge album either first or second time out it seems to me now. Maybe that is one of the problems with the music now.

I totally agree. Although, you will probably find that it is only the larger labels that expect that... Which is why it usually is a good thing that bands start out on a smaller indie-like label & then progress forward to a major when they know what they're doing.
