Okay I can get the normal version on amazon now for $3 without shipping, or the remastered version for about $9. Is the remastered version any better? 'Cause I don't really care if it just has a few demo tapes on it.

Ready for the Final War is such a killer track, the groove from 2:30 is infectious. Really dig his vocals there

Somehow haven't heard this even though I have a thing for debuts. Gonna have to jam. I dig the one that came after pretty good

aw man just got the 2020 Peaceville 2CD edition happy to at least own this in any physical form but jeez it sounds pretty bad compared to the early CDs. Since I knew this edition wasn't super compressed (DR is between 8 and 9) I happily bhought it thinking it would have been nice enough to keep it at hand at home, but gosh I don't know what they did but it all sounds so limited and squashed together in most songs.

Now I wonder if people tend to know this album with this sound and not with the (lo-fi) crispness of the og

closer here is probably the closest indication of the band they'd become, but there's a ton of great keyboard moments across the board here. not sure how much i'll return for this/think the raw style suits them, but it's still a cool debut ig

It has its moments but I’m not super into it overall. Which of their albums have you heard now?

so far I've got (ranked) Imaginary Sonicscape = Shiki >>> Heir to Despair > Scenes From Hell > this > In Somniphobia
so ig Hangman's Hymn is next (esp since they're dropping a rerecording next year?)
more than happy playing pick n mix with these guys tbh, their misses are usually at least entertaining

I am sad to see SFH below IS (great album, way overrated tho), as it’s prob my first or second favourite - the other being HH. HH was actually the first Sigh I listened to. That album blew high-school Gyro’s mind, and my friends made fun of me for listening to it lol.

But yeah, even when their albums miss the mark, I usually end up grabbing a few track anyway. Got a pretty solid Sigh playlist on Spotify but I have to revisit certain albums

Finally jamming this one!!! Idk how I ever passed it over smh.

Update: This is good stuff. Wish they'd go for more straight up bm at times as opposed to a lot of the doomy stuff here. This album is at it's best when the riffage is fast and blistering.

Graveward is overhated imo. I don't see how you'd dislike it if you like all of Sigh's other stuff.
