>The first 4 songs on Feeling Your UFO are as good as the best stuff here god damn, hope that gets a review one day.
lol, the last track is my favorite

I think it's a great song but not that version of it. It's the only time I want TK to shut up, painful delivery.

First two songs on UFO are GOATed Sigure (and a v good follow-up to this, Demon!) but the last one probs be my third pick
|

I am very fond of Last Dance Revolution, golden deep cut with a chill vibe while still rocking out

Last Dance Revolution is a gem for sure, don't jam that one enough
Whatever the only other track on the EP is called tho, it would probs be in my bottom 10 post-#4 songs. Spotless release otherwise
|
| |
I really like it but yeah it's not prime Sigure.

UFO before the previous LP? If all their stuff is even half as good as this one, then I may as well be thorough.

Yep - previous LP is a scrappy but endearing start and easily their worst (but still dec!) imo, I see this and the UFO ep as a transitional phase to the more polished sound that Just a Moment onwards reps. Ludicrously consistent discog tho

Album is still good.

Demon you'll probably find at least one album which you like more than this and most won't be far behind, insane discography. If you are doing a discog run, I recommend all their LPs and UFO/es or s/#2. #1 and #3 have songs which are on other releases while #2 consists of songs which are on no other releases and it is just as good as UFO. Raw as fuck.

How much does #2 have in common with #4?
|
| |
In theory they're similar in that they're more scrappy and endearing then later works but I like #2 a lot because while #4 has a semblance of polish compared to their later material, #2 does not. It feels like they're jamming in their basement, the performances are more heartfelt to me (especially with TKs full zero technique screams on the second track), and there are less clunky transitions/vocal melodies. I share a similar sentiment to you regarding #4 and I still love #2, plus it has their longest song to boot.

All three are much better than still a sigure virgin, yeah

Still a Sigure Virgin hard slaps for me, only 1 dud on it.

Dope will peep #2, sounds at the least like a cool Easter egg
Secret G/Replica/This is This/eF/Can't Kill A Secret/Illusion would have been a killer ep, but Replica real do be carrying two of the all-time worst LTS songs and one of their weakest openers

imo virgin is the most mid sigure album so far

it having their worst prod and most of their ambitious songwriting is not a combo that ever sat well with me
first 30 seconds of Secret G is still the most impressive instrumental moment in their discog imo, and the only thing i've tried to learn from them that i've straight up quit
|
| |
Secret G is absolutely nutty. I get the production complaints but I like the claustrophobic feeling it gives me. Only on Shandy the choices made were...not good. Thank god TK saved that song with his side project.
#5 is the nothing burger of their discog for me.

Finally cracking down with COOL J and jfc idk what it is with this band's ADJ LETTER songs, but the shit they put that opening riff through is horribly contorted
rest of the song is mostly breezy aside from the noise solo and ATDI style breakdown halfway through, but yikes
