I'm finally back. My account disappeared off the server AGAIN. I'm so pissed. Got another Satanic Destroyer review coming for ya. Btw, I saw Meatplow's review on one of the smellthestench.net's bands. But, it wasn't Goatcum, before you get all excited.

Totally, but I'll try and upload. Yeah, unfortunately, Matt Dorr wrote a single as well. Review coming at you soon.

Don't worry, I'm not trolling this site.....I've just read a lot of your comments regarding Smell The Stench on this and another review. I've already commented on the other review (Trend Basher) regarding this but I think I'd be better off replying on this thread.
I'm Chav Stabber and I currently run the netlabel for STS. Yes, I agree totally that a lot of the artwork on the albums is rubbish. This is mainly for two reasons, most of the people who submit artwork with their releases have no knowledge of graphic design or, in many cases, no basic photoshop skills. The other reason is that people like to think they can be 'shocking' by using porn or dead bodies. It's been done for years in every underground genre and isn't likely to change, regardless of how crap it looks in 99% of the cases.
In defense of Goatcum I can tell you that it's actually a deliberate piss-take of black metal and the rest. The artwork is deliberate too, it's just a laugh and the guy who produces it actually makes some excellent ambient music under another name, and is highly educated. Some people do just make noise for a laugh, but some people take it far too seriously and vanish up their own arses in the process. (By the way, the one with the naked girl and the accordion? Hilarious. The guy makes this really, really lo-fi black metal with an accordion! Now tell me that's meant to be taken seriously!)
As for your criticisms of Smell The Stench, I'd ask you to bear in mind that it was set up by noise fans for noise fans. I only took over the netlabel earlier this year, but I intend to make it more professional and prominent within the noise scene as I rework and redesign the whole thing. At present, everything is the way it was when Leigh and Todd set it up three years ago. As it stands, it's functional and lets people who are interested in noise/experimental music download hundreds of albums. There's no bells and whistles because it doesn't need them, most other free netlabels only exist on Archive or myspace.
Anyhow, I've rambled enough. If you're interested in noise, particularly 'harsh noise' then I can recommend a few good artists who are worth checking out. I know that most of you will probably vomit at the very idea but you're entitled to your opinion.
A'ra best,
TCS

I'd actually be interested in a few of those recommendations. Mainly out of curiosity.

i don't think we were so harsh on STS.com, at least i wasn't, all i gotta say is this album is and forever will be rubbish and thank you sts for having it there on your archives for future lol's
