God damn people. What the fuck? In my opinion dream theater is just a lame and boring band. Portnoy is the only good thing about them. And the singer, shit man. I don't understand how you can listen to that horrible voice. But don't mind me. I'm just an idiot I guess and I don't understand their music. :D hahahahaaaa. Yeah right!

Who really cares about how talented DT are with their instruments? There are plenty of amazing songs that require very little skill with the instruments involved. Being good at an instrument doesn't mean you can write non-boring songs unfortunately.

Without a doubt this is the best album of all-time, such a great story line, and the musicianship is top-notch in every aspect of the word they know how to display top line music with a great deal of emotion.......10/10

Maybe the best from Dream Theater, maybe one of the greatest CD in the world. Awesome, orgasmic, as you said.

BirdsOF Fire, I really don't get your point as you say that such things about this divine masterpiece...

One of the most inconsistent albums of all time. This album hits its peak in the first 5 songs...the rest is mostly overindulgent and too long.

Great review! Way to go on not spoiling the ending...It's one of the few albums that have brought a tear to my eye. One of the best concept albums out there =D

this album was not what i was expecting... i was expecting a little more "br00t4l" metal sound thats for sure. but ill give this some more listens im sure it will feel better then. what really was awesome was the story line. the first couple times i listen to albums i just in-coherently listen to it. this made me want to listen to find out the story line.. was frikin sweet... im still confused bout the ending

If you're into this and like the story line you should check out Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime" album.
