Bro, their lyrics are usually pretty good.
"down in a hole/Jesus tries to crack a smile/beneath another shovel load"
I always loved how dark that line was

If I were to rank the Big 4 in vox, it'd be:
Cornell
Vedder
Stayley
Cobain
Cornell had the widest range of the 4, and could hit dazzling notes. Vedder mostly stuck to baritone, and his biggest strength was his ability to stretch notes. Stayley was great, but the one issue I have with him is his vocal tone, although that doesn't make AiC's music any less great. And Kurt, well, was simply not in their league.

Stayley is 2

Agreed to disagree dude. He was skilled though, and sang with unique passion.

PJ is prob one of my Top 10 all-time bands so I'll always defend Vedder.
But yeah, opinions be opinions.

If I were to Vox-rank them:
Cornell
Staley
Vedder
Cobain

Album Rating: 5.0
Id go with that, although Vedders performance on Ten is almost unbeatable. Its just that he got progressively worse with each album.

when I was younger I would've ranked Vedder third or fourth, but over time he's grown on me quite a bit. probably 2nd behind Cornell for me at this point. Hard to beat the Staley/Cantrell harmonies though.

Drum wise, I'd say:
Cameron
Grohl
Krusen
Kinney
Bottom 2 are close though.
On bass, I'd put Mike Starr first, followed by SG's bassists, then Ament and then Novoselic.
On riffs, SG would take it for me, then AiC, then either Nirvana or PJ (it's a near tie there).
On leads, I guess I'd just put Cantrell and McCready even, then Thayil and then Kurt.
