Someone with brains^^^^ hahahaha

Disciple started off promising enough, but just kinda lost steam half way through.
I got the impression that with GHUA that the boys kinda went "hey, we should probably put out another album, what d'ya think?"
Couldn't really pick out a "gameplan" for the album, just seemed like a hodgepodge of half realised songs thrown together and a parental advisory sticker slapped on top.
CI however, first thing that stood out (for me anyway) was, what seemed to be, a renewed passion for playing fast and abrasive music again.
And they probably were energized (what with Lombardo back in the mix).

Just because Slayer haven't done added anything new to the genre with this album or haven't done something daringly different doesn't mean that the album sucks. Album is pretty tight IMO.

CI was all right. Not something to jizz about.

CI was atleast enjoyable. It was more like a return to form after those two shit albums. Then this is released with some of Slayer worst lyrics and rehashed "lets play some thrash" riffs. Im a Slayer fan and its time for them to hang it up.

Album is good stuff. If Converge released this, the average rating would be 4.5+.

"Album is good stuff. If Converge released this, the average rating would be 4.5+."
Yeah, but Converge would be too smart to release something this bad

I love the complaints for this album having terrible lyrics. The only songs with shitty lyrics are the ones King wrote (Americon, Hate Worldwide, and Not of this God). Rest of this album isn't bad lyrically. DiM, GHUA, and CI had lyrics that were 10x worse.

Yeah. This album has lyrics that are way better than any from DiM to CI. Really. GHuA I find to be their lowest point lyrically, tbh, it's just pathetic at times. Exile, for example. Also, be glad Araya didn't decide to take over some song in the lyrical departament here, since DiM the few lyrics he's written are terrible... Ugh, Desire...

Way to go so far off the point.
Concerning the lyrics, they are the same as usual and no one should complain.

No, no, no, no from first to last expression, this is typical slayer. Not Converge.

When I listen to a Slayer album I want to hear mindless solos, screaming, drums and guitars going a hundred miles an hour, I don't want to hear any experimental shit, I want to hear Slayer and I'm enjoying this album for that simple fact, Slayer are reliable, you know what you are getting.

Reliable? Yeah, you know they're always going to give you the same repetitive shit.
