See, I wish I could just keep one or two songs off of an album, but my musical integrity rots me from the inside if I do that, because I feel like I have to have the full album, even if there are only a small handful of tracks I like from it =(

i used to be like that too, it was like the album just got "ugly" or something when you delete half the tracks.
however, you gotta admit it saves space on your disk and it just seems more practical. i mean, are you really going to listen to those shit songs ever again?

I know it makes more sense that I delete the tracks I don't like, but I die on the inside whenever I open an artist and it only has like two tracks and it's not an EP and/or Split D:

ha, i'm used to it by now. there are very few albums on my computer that are actually the "full" ones.

2 things...
-UNORIGINAL/GENERIC
-OVER PRODUCED
seriously...take out the instruments and you'd probably still be able to tell what the songs sound like haha.

also i read over all the comments....
lol @ people hating on piratesquid...
i tend to agree on most of his arguments in defferent albums. and aaaaalso i cant do 2 or 3 songs an artist either.

I think this band would be better if you took away the clean vocals...

inorite cept the instruments aren't great either
the screamer should do something useful with his talent

Since the hot topic(lol?) of this band is the clean vocals, well, there are many vocalists that are worse live. He isn't complete shit.

(no lol) I almost grabbed this album. I'm glad I didn't judging from the ratings.

It was a sorry attempt at a reference to the store that carries shirts of mostly horrible bands.

Do it man, it ain't the worst thing ever. I love Broken Statues.

tbh at first listen i felt like this was really catchy. I didn't really mind the autotune because at least it didn't make his voice sound too robotic. The album is pretty much taking from the same formula of TDWP but i think they did the sound pretty well. I like TDWP but i have grown tired of his extremely high pitch screams and the dude for this band, imo, has a pretty good vocal style that doesn't drill into ur eardrums. I feel like this bands got a good amount of potential and I can see their next album being pretty damn good if they work on some stuff

This is a much more consistent release than half the shit coming out at the moment. Searching, Seeking, Reaching, Always is the only song I consistently skip.
The autotune isn't really overused at all either, although I'd prefer if it wasn't there at all, it doesn't bug me.

| |
i know what you mean about Searching, Seeking, Reaching, Always. I constantly skip that one as well cuz it's pretty uninteresting

i only really listen to broken statues, intentions (until the cheesy orchestral breakdown-thing, where i generally skip the rest), roads that don't end, and dreams. And the first half of to plant a seed i guess. album is uber top-loaded and not very good anyway

These guys have outstanding potential though. Just listen to it, you'll find the gems in each song for sure. Much easier to pick em out of you're a big fan of the genre. I hope their next album blows this out of the water, even though it sounds to me like they put a lot of effort into this one.
