It's interesting to see the differences in the mid-era albums. For example, Total Death is one of their most "primitive" ones. Meanwhile this one contains songs like "Command" (which is a solid 10/10), which does not repeats riffs or motifs just a few times and the song moves into new directions as it goes on.

Mid-career Darkthrone, Total Death through Sardonic Wrath (I don't count Goatlord as an album cause its a very old demo), is my favorite Darkthrone

Also, the re-issue covers for this era slap.
