Well he rules on this, they pull off some sweet Dio doom.

Dio sounds like Christine McVie when he gets softer

ok, so I listened to this as a lark, should not be enjoyable, 90's sabbath with Dio, well anyway I really liked the album was pleasantly surprised, made me go check out H&H again, along with seeing a Dio era cover band in Chicago called H&H made me reexamine my hatred for any BS besides the originals, so it took most of my life but I get it know, different band going after different things

Yep - totally different bands with totally different sounds really. Made sense that they ended up touring as Heaven & Hell and not under the Sabbath name, though.

Regardless, Appreciate them both.

I don't think I'll ever appreciate the Dio-era anywhere near as much as I do the Ozzy-era. Different bands with different sounds certainly but one simply appeals to me far more than the other.

See Dio is one of my all-time favorite vocalists though, so hence why I love them both equally. Even so, my objective side recognizes that the Ozzy-era was far more important and probably "better" to an extent.
