parts of it are. parts of it arent. the genre itself is such a misnomer anyway when shit from Botch to BTBAM to The Red Chord to Poison the Well to Atreyu are all considered metalcore.

I was comparing Atreyu to a shitty band like the Deftones...now TDWP might not be your favorite band, but they FAR outstretch an unoriginal band like the Deftones not to mention With Roots Above and Branches Below's production is off the charts. Joey Sturgis can take any album to the next level (e.g. Miss May I, Mychildren Mybride). Now why don't you go chill out and listen to some Deftones to soothe your anger.
