This definitely seems like a dense listen, I'll have to set aside some time to really dive in and get into it since this is also new genre for me. I guess I'll start with this, though I had always assumed Neurosis were the best and most original for some reason.

I still have to try out Neurosis myself, but I've been so caught up in Isis and Cult Of Luna. But yea dude, this album takes you places. That 4.4 is totally deserving.

I still need to check Cult of Luna, also apparently The Galilean Satellites by Rosetta is right up my alley and from what I've heard it's pretty incredible.

... but what makes people consider it post-metal, though? I always wanted to know that. I mean... it's actually really different than Isis, CoL, Rosetta and stuff. And I had found it misleading at first when I saw Neurosis being categorized as "post-metal" and expected to hear something similar to Isis, but instead got something quite different.
