i don't use rym but have been told numerous times that i should. isn't there supposed to be a newer version of it launching soon?

Yep, Sonemic is launching sometime this year. imo RYM's database is way better despite it being difficult to add artists. It's a lot easier to navigate charts by year. More users and proghermits that add obscure stuff. The community is more split across the site though.

Yes ratings carry over. I heard that rym will still exist for a while too. They are also adding optional rating systems, like the 100 point system.

Yes and it's actually the video games section im most excited about. Not because I'd use it but because it has a chance to be very popular and get referenced on news sites etc.

It's meant to depict percentage or something. The game pages for games like "sonic" is a nightmare because they list all the versions for every console/region instead of combining them like how rym does with albums.
