I was just listening to another song and laughed my ass off at whoever screamed at the end "Fuck you hi-hat"

I think I'm going to listen to their album tomorrow. If not tomorrow I'll get on it and I'll let you know how I feel about it. From the songs I just heard I'm going to like it. Is this band a supergroup? I'm pretty sure that's Ben Koller but I never checked the lineup

Fuck yeah that's Ben Koller. The bassist isn't from any bands but I guess it's technically a supergroup since 2/3rds of the band are/were from Cave In/Converge lol. The bassist shreds hard though. Definitely let me know what you think of the record!

Ben Koller's drumming is so recognizable. He always goes hard and it's what I love about him. I always love that he is involved in so many projects too outside of Converge. You probably know em but if you haven't heard All Pigs must Die you should try them out.

He is truly a beast, so much so that he might not even be human. All Pigs Must Die is killer too. I haven't given them as much attention as they deserve, but I've heard both of their full lengths and dig the crusty-death metal kind of vibe they have.

Yeah, I dig All Pigs Must Die pretty hard. Not spectacular or anything but they do what they do pretty well. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben Koller is also the unnamed drummer of United Nations.

I'll be sure to jam them a little more often, at the very least for Koller's stellar drumming. I'm actually not a big fan of UN and I've tried to get into them countless times but so far, no dice. Maybe I'll have to give them another try.

I dig UN a lot but I can see why people don't like em. They have a pretty rough production style too which can be very grating at times but I grew to like it.

Listening to screamo has pretty much killed any expectations I could ever have for production, I just hate over produced music. I haven't listed to UN since their last record, so maybe I'll have to give them a spin soon. (been jamming All Pigs since you mentioned them. Unf)

Haha nice to the all pigs must die. Screamo really does show that production doesn't need to be so glossy. I tend not to care about production too much unless it's really bad or really overproduced which thankfully doesn't happen too often.

Third World Genocide is probably my favorite track of theirs. I can't even finish the record because I keep playing it over again.

Some bands are just so good that even really bad production can be overlooked in favor of songwriting chops, but raw enough to let the energy and instrumentation shine and clean enough to not sound like it was recorded on a potato is ideal.

Well i just listened to the new letlive track and that just made me want to not listen to anything else they'll make. Man that was horrible but not cuz of production. I'll have to re-visit that APMD song with all the music I listen to it's hard to remember individual songs and such but just remember that you dig their work.

I'm fucking horrible with song titles, so I don't blame you. I usually refer to songs by their track number because I never listen to random songs, always gotta jam the whole record!

Letlive blows. I can't even imagine why you would listen to their new song. I "saw" them live a few weeks back, and by that I mean I sat outside and talked the entire time while I waited for the Wonder Years to come on.

I enjoyed Letlive.-Fake history a lot but that's it. Btw, I wasn't necessarily talking about song titles, I'm actually decent with remembering that. It's me remembering anything musically off the album until I re-listen to it. I'm terrible with remember a lot of what I listen to even with my ratings but I rate that highly because I know when I'll listen again I'll remember it again and I know I loved it. Hope you get what I mean by that.

They actually sounded okay from what I could hear from a room or two away, nothing like the horrible music I remember from their records. Not sure if that's a compliment or not.

I feel ya. I'm sure most sput users can relate, assuming all of us consume a massive amount of music on a regular basis. If it's not one of your absolute favorites then you kind of push it out of your mind until the next listen

Yup, even a lot of my 4.5's I don't remember much until I listen again because of not hearing it for awhile. I'm pretty sure that's common though and not just me.

It happens to me too. My 5's and a decent amount of my 4.5's are the records I have committed to memory. I have no idea how I feel about this new song from Letlive

These tracks should have been on White Silence instead of the last three
