This and Science are his best, I love albums like them and Low that have forward thinking rock songwriting with amazing ambience in other tracks, usually the B-side, and it's so satisfying.

This integrates the Side A/Side B motif into a really cohesive experience though, that's what makes it so good to me.

Yeah for sure. I don't disagree with you on that. Personally I just think that the soundscapes peppered throughout this album help make it as brilliant as it is.
If I remember correctly, a RYM review described it as floating between dream states and I feel that's spot on. The combination of varied pace and silence between tracks emphasizes that so well.
