I know this is going to sound strange but I really love this album.
Some thing about it doesn't feel as solid as any thing else they have put out, despite my high rating. I love the vocals here, but the song writing is average.

If you start off with this album, it's fair that you should like it. However, if you've been a fan for a while, it's utterly mediocre.

I was thinking just that. I first listened to As Daylight Dies in 2007 as my introduction to KsE. Even still, the order I took was: ADD->TEoH->AoJB->KsE->KsE II
I guess I'm just a die hard KsE fan.

Is this band still around or are they gone? Haven't heard about shows lately or any news so it seems like they're gone... and to think that Alive or Just Breathing was good and after that and the following album they started to go downhill.

The least metalcore KsE album to date. More in the vein of their Holy Diver cover, which was awesome. I like the direction this album went in - more metal, less hardcore. Would probably put this one at my 2nd favorite...As Daylight Dies being the best. AOJB got me into KsE, but I honestly feel like Howard is a better fit for their more matured sound. I'm not a big fan of the new leaked single with Jesse. They seem to be regressing instrumentally a bit to a more AOJB sound, which I suppose is natural considering the original lineup is back.
