^ Do it. I loved Downtown Battle Moutain, but I thought this was weird at first. It grew on me so much. Very fun listen.

this album was very zazzy indeed. DGD maintained their unique sound without repeating themselves. I saw them headlining a few months ago however, and the set was pretty short and a bit anti-climactic unfortunately

Good review, nice read.
This album album is better in every way from the past stuff.
And I seem to be the only one that kind stand the sound of Jonny, or it could be that I've witnessed how big of an asshole he is.

I can't get into the new vocals. Something about the whine that comes with his high range just sounds way too emo to me. Imo Chino's guest spot on their Self-titled is the best vocals they've ever had ~

Now myself, i've always been a fan of DGD. the self titled(deathstar album) was a huge favorite of mine for a long time, but this one didn't really hit it for me.
I don't exactly know why, probably the damn Strawberry Swisher.. i really hate that song/interlude/intro thing.

So this is the best non-At the Drive-In post-hardcore band methinks.
Make fun of me for it.

Mess > Swan but still an amazing album.

this is a greeeeat review! Album is also above average
|

The album is above average to substantial regards. The vocals aren't monotonous, the guitar isn't blah, and its surprisingly fun. Horridly underrated album... even at 3.8...
