What on earth did I just listen to? It's definitely not for me unfortunately, this varies between being underwhelming to intensely irritating. I'd be happy to forget this one exists & return to her earlier material. I'll still move forward as well though, of course.

I can't remember which tracks were actually decent but there was a couple of good ones, for sure. However, they were outweighed by a lot of annoying rubbish, or stuff that was simply boring.
The Sonnets/Ancestors combo was particularly bad if I remember rightly.

Yep, I have expressed my distaste for Ancestors on several occasions (e.g. the last page of this very thread), so I definitely agree to some degree, but don't let a handful of tracks make you shy away from returning to this - it actually has a beautiful atmosphere once you get used to its style

I'll give it another go at some point, this is the first Bjork album I've heard that makes me want to immediately move forward, rather than give it repeated listens straight away. That doesn't mean I'll never return.

Who Is It, Oceania, Submarine and Where Is the Line are all amazing imo, so give those another try when you're in the mood  There is a version of Who Is It that uses bells as an instrument, in case you can't get into the a capella sound
