If you really liked this one, you should check out their other one, Not For Want of Trying. It's not as good (I still rate it a 4), but the song He Films the Clouds, Pt. 2 is incredible. My personal favorite from them at the moment.

Haha, fun you say that. The second I finished the song "This Time Last Year", my first time through the album, I immediately downloaded that. I will be listening in a few days, but I have a few more post-rock and jazz albums in front of it

It's all good. Take your time with post-rock. Being the right setting can sometimes make a good enough impact on your listen.

agreed! I have heard tons from the genre so far, I've been listening all year, but just recently I've been going through post-rock bands discogs like crazy.

Ha good to hear. I've taken a break from the genre at the moment, but hearing of all this enjoyment means I'll have to give my collection a spin again.

i prefer this over their first as a whole. they're both good for different reasons though. there isn't anyone quite like these guys.
Russian Circles, As I Watch You From Afar and East Of The Wall might be worth checking out if you like these guys though.

Godspeed is one of my favorites. The difference is they use samples effectively. But whatever, that's a relatively small gripe, this record is still sweet. Gotta love How To Have Sex With A Ghost.

maybeshewill uses them very effectively as well. Now, don't get me wrong, Godspeed is better than this band, in fact, "Lift your Skinny Fists" is the best album in post-rock history, but this is still fucking amazing, one of the best I've heard.
