anything underground comes in vinyl. pretty sure it's all sold out though, i got mine on ebay, it's a secondhand copy but in very good condition.

the format for grind should be tapes not vinyl

no the format for hardcore punk and grind is vinyl. tapes are only good for black metal and sometimes death metal, but then death metal is better on vinyl too.
are you talking about sound or just the fact the songs/albums are short?

i've always associated genres like punk, grind, and black metal with tapes and genres like doom,
psych, and blues/jazz with vinyl
it's more me making judgments than me having knowledge on the matter as i know very little. i'm not a
format enthusiast anyway. grab vinyl once in a while but not extensively

as far as i know most punk/hardcore/grind bands release on vinyl rather than cassette
