That's cool dude I hope you dig em, definitely start with Wright's stuff. The first one, Wet Dream, is sort of an extension of his work with Floyd, lots of instrumentals with saxophone solos and that sorta thing. Only problem I have with it is he struggles a bit with the vocals, particularly the high notes, which is a shame considering how amazing his voice is on the Floyd records. Still a great album though.
The second one, Broken China, is an entirely different beast; it's a four-part concept album about his wife's depression so it's really dark and moody, but that makes the few hopeful moments seem absolutely incredible. It does drag on a little bit at 16 songs but nevertheless it's fantastic.

I don't think there is a version of Song to the Siren that come's close to being as good as the one here. John just sings it with soo much soul it rips my heart apart!

The song "Scratch" was written during the Empyrean-era. It got a postponed release (yesterday) due to the recording taking pace during his upcoming record "Enclosure".
You can downoad it for free via his website johnfrusciante.com
I highly recommend taking a glance of what he is up to next! He kind of says its the 1st song of what would become "Enclosure" and it is his present statement of his most recent experimental music expression.
