Mudvaynian, I hate to tell you, Greg Tribbet isn't any better than Kurt at guitar. And lyrically, Mudvyane's pretty ****ty most of the time.

i don't listen to this near as much as I used to, as little as once a month or less. I though it was awesome back in the day though.

What do you mean the album is nothing spectacular and that the lyrics are fairly descent? Kurt Cobain is hands down one of the best songwriters of all time. I thought your review was horrible.

Did you think this because you don't agree with it, or because you actually don't like the writing? If you did it because of the former than lighten up, opinions are opinions.
Kurt Cobain is not one of the best songwriters of all time, his emotion and rawness was what alot of people liked about him. The music is simple and derived from earlier stuff by bands like the Pixies, so it was hardly original either, if thats what you meant. This Message Edited On 04.24.06

whats wrong with the music being simple and having influence? Doesnt every bad have some sort of influence?
And if they werent that original then why do they stand out so much.

Maybe because they were constantly played on MTV. That would probably make them stand out a bit more.

and why do you think that is that they would be played on mtv so much, because BECAUSE THEY KICK ASS!

Every band has influences, every songwriter does too, but you were saying Kurt was one of the best songwriters of all time and I was saying he wasn't because he takes his influences to close to heart (read: hes un original)
Stand out from what? A bunch of pop metal and new wave. They may have been original in the 1991 pop circuit but indie bands had been doing stuff like them for years and years before.
Don't get me wrong, I've said it before, I love Nirvana, I just know how they stand compared to some other bands ( not saying you don't, as I said before, opinions are opinions, to each his own).

This is a great album. Its has some of Nirvana's best ever songs on it, in my opinion. I would have rated this album higher if I had just got it, because it does get a bit old after a while.

Nirvana sucks and Kurt Cobain is a horible singer/guitarist

It's actually rather difficult not to understand Mudvayne. I simply don't like them. And even if lyrically they are one of the best, musically the only thing they've got going for them is their drummer.

I dont think this review is for mudvayne but whatever
Kurt Cobain was a good (not great) songwriter
and thats about it talent-wise

It's not about Mudvayne. But I'm pretty sure discussion on music is allowed. But back to Nirvana, I like some songs on here but it isn't genius.
