Well I've come to the conclusion that this is definitely the best Enslaved album.

they try to experiment with progressive and avantgarde elements but something just doesn't work. Ihsahn's Angl is pointing at the same direction but i can find more clever compositions there

I have that album, and frankly I can't really listen to it. I don't know why. Give this another spin or three and hope it grows on you. It did for me.

Same here. Well I only heard two songs before I got the album, but I thought they were pretty bad. I was wrong.

I'm still loving this and want to know where to go next with this band. Should I just go to Ruun and proceed back in time from there?

I'd get Isa over Ruun anyday.

True but Path To Vanir is too sinister to resist. After the melodic bridge, that evil riff pulls through to castrate the listener.

That song alone makes Ruun my next buy.

Ruun is one of Enslaved's weakest if you ask me. The first three songs are fantastic, and the title track is pretty good as well (track 4) but the second half of the album is noticably weaker than the first half.

Where as, the middle to end of Isa is phenominally elite.

I love this album. I've listened to Isa and Runn before this, but they didn't grab my attention as much as this one. I wasn't expecting this at all. Hope everyone grab a copy and give it a listen. If you like the new stuff from enslaved you'll definitely love vertebrae.

Sooooooooooooo this might take album of the year cake.........for me that is. Just simply stunned! I even find myself enjoying this a bit more then Watershed at points, simply for its overall consistency.
