because they're professional musicians? what, are they like accountants when they're not on tour? or janitors?
Don't rush genius!
I have every Neurosis album at a 4 or higher
Anything less would equal being a fag.
Is this on the earlier or newer records? I read interviews with Scott where he says he wrote most of the stuff. This was for Given to the Rising btw.
It was when Given to the Rising came out and I read an article about them in Decibel. They said both of them did a good chunk of the writing. Not a 100% sure about their past though which is a good point. Either way, I will keep it as such unless I dig up something more.

Well, I know for a fact that Scott wrote the first two records almost by himself - Steve didn't join untill 1990 (: . They could be sharing the writing duties now, if that's what Scott says. Just not what I remembered tbh.

I'm so glad I'm checking this out after so long cause it feels like a fresh new dose of Neurosis for me right now. So fucking good.

Right now, this is my favorite album from Neurosis. I think "Through Silver In Blood", as a whole, is a little more focused and refined, "Enemy" is just put together in a way that just gets to me. Not to mention the fact that 'Raze The Stray' is, for me, the most intense and emotional piece in their entire catalogue.

^You should. This is the record where Neurosis found their sound and style.

The 'Lost/Raze The Stray' combo is unreal. I don't think they've been able to match the energy and intensity of those 2 tracks since.

their discog is probably the hardest to rank of any band that I can think of (Boris would be up there as well).
