yes this album is good stfu wizard you've changed you used to be cool

I've never been cool. I'm too un-conformist hahaha! Truthfully, my music taste hasn't changed much, but rather expanded.

but I'm not sure if it was bad enough for this poor dude to get negged into oblivion lol.

As much as I agree with the rating, its line like this that stop me from reading:

"Spencer tries too hard to sound "hardcore".

This clearly sounds like a little-boy rant. This Message Edited On 12.31.08

Well then I guess he should be next in line for a staff position then, right?

Hahahaha there is truth in that but I think you take the staff a little too seriously.

This is actually a very well-written review in my opinion, except for a couple horrid spots. For instance, never list off other bands you happen to like alot in another band's album review, it's extremely immature. But for the most part, it's good. I couldn't disagree with your opinion more, but you back it up pretty well.

For me, with Underoath i have had to listen to their latest albums a lot to appreciate them. Both Define and Lost seemed totally disjointed and redundant at first, but after repeated listens i find all the nuances, the hints of structure and melody sprinkled throughout that make this band unique and great. In contrast, TOCS sounds pretty cool at first listen, but upon repeated listens becomes rendundant and generic.

As far as this album goes, I would say it is right at the same level as Define, but i would rate it lower b/c it lacks the standout tracks that made Define almost epic. Although, with that said, i must admit that i love Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear. It definitely stands out as the best slow-tempo non-instrumental song they've done.
