this album is pretty bad to be honest. The bassist is very good, but Clint falls into his trademark whining and doesn't stretch his abilities or do anything different. the production is very flat, the drums on the album sound terrible. The guitarist needs to find some new riffs to play. Worlds on Fire and Room without a view are pretty good songs even if they are flawed; but everything else just sits on the same level and doesn't add anything interesting musically.

“I was saying to the guys that I'd like to make a return back to the beginning again. Like let’s make a hybrid of Final Conversation, Imago and Begins Here. Let’s do a combination, so you got a couple of really banging tracks, and then you know a couple of really refined tracks, and a couple of more melodic/twisty tracks. So you never know what we're gonna come up with for the next album, its an open door. But certainly on my wishlist would be 2 or 3 nice heavy tracks!”

“You know what, some collaborations could be on the cards! I'll let the cat out of the bag, You know, we were all talking about getting some guest writers in by the time we are ready to record again, and Kim (Dead Letter Circus) could definitely be one of them. We are looking at the world stage too, looking at some great songwriters from all over the world to collaborate with us on the next album. Just for something different, you know?

"We're gonna be looking at some very famous people to work with us, also from our own backyard too. We're gonna be asking some very cool Aussie writers to help us out. We may be getting in Drew from Karnivool to come up to QLD to write with us!"

Pretty interesting snippet from a recent interview with Clint.

More Heavy + Kim from DLC + Drew from Karnivool = God Like.

Anything would be better than this, for sure.

Well your complaint with this was that they hadnt gone anywhere since Imago (and i'll admit they didnt do much differently with this at all) so the next one looks like they're trying something new.

I really do hope that they go back to some sort of heaviness though, they're a much better hard rock band than pop rock band.

wow moving backwards instead of forwards sounds like a great idea, because every artist who has tried to replicate their beginnings has turned out real good.

Eh, they have matured a lot in this album...

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but hell. Your dislikes on this are utterly amusing.

But I see your fan of Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.... Nuff said.

Probably my favourite Butterfly Effect. The bass is just so scrumptious.

Saw these kids on Wednesday night, aaaaaaaaaand they have their mojo back. Best show i've seen them play. No gay videos or light shows, just them rocking out.

And the new song 5 Golden Rings, holy crap. It was the heaviest/best song of the set, had screams, bass solo's, guitar solos, everything. And fuck it was a retardedly amazing song. I really hope it doesn't change much between now and recording time.

They played:

Crave, Take It Away, Room Without A View, Final Conversation, 5 Golden Rings, One Second of Insanity, Before they Knew, A Slow Descent, Window and the Watcher, Reach, Gone, Sweet and Low, A.D, Worlds on Fire

Soo any news on the new album yet? I can't find anything recent. Theyseem to have gone into hiding.

This is the longest time between releases they have taken.. hopefully this is a good thing and they

release a ripper.

They almost broke up about three times but are back to being besties. Currently demoing for the album.

They're not using Forrester to produce either, which is at least a start at getting it to sound different.

Yeah I heard about the almost breaking up thing... well once anyway, not three times! It would have made me a sad panda. Thanks for the info! =] Poor Forrester is starting to get rejected a little bit of late, Karnivool and now TBE!
