Awesome album. Green Days second best offering (Insomniac is their forte in my opinion). My aunt bought this CD for me on my seventh birthday like a month after it was released. I had never heard of them before or had even listened to any music before that day but it is safe to say that this album changed my life. I really got into music after this

No offence, but I doubt that you've heard more than the singles. And that line is VERY unoriginal. When you make comments about a band you don't like, give us something new to read. I don't understand when people go on a site or just look up bands they hate, just to insult them. I mean, what's the point? This Message Edited On 12.03.06

The name of this directly reflects the content. My Gawd, learn something besides powerchords Billy Joe. Gag me with a spoon Tre Cool.

Haha, you remind me of me a while back.

Anyways, the problem here is not the band, but your comprehension of their music. The purpose of pop punk is to entertain the listener with sing-along choruses and catchy hooks. The instrumentals are supposed to be simple. Virtually all pop-punk is composed of power chords, just as virtually al metal is composed of shredding solos and distorted riffs. You have to understand that this is just the way pop-punk is supposed to be. You can't knock BJA for using power chords when every pop punk band uses them. If you're not fond of this style of music that's fine, but don't go around trying to belittle it.

What onewaytrip said.

This and Insomniac are pretty awesome. I haven't listened to this band in awhile. I might do a review of one of them.

Nimrod is actually a bit sharper than both this and Insomniac in my book, but all three are awesome albums.
