I actually pos'd it like a half hour ago when I noticed it was your first. My only gripe for it
knowing you were a virgin reviewer at the time is the Tool comparison. It takes away the spotlight
from such a great band right from the get-go

Dude I know and I was a young sputniker back then. I realized that the Tool influence is evidence but they are not Tool ripoffs. Both great bands for different reasons. I've become smarter in critiquing music now so yea the Tool comparison was uncalled for. Definitely write that review man. That site needs to hear about this band more.

For sure, I'll start it tonight but I wanna work on it for awhile (plus I've got a fuck ton of Differential Equations homework this week); the band deserves a great 5 review. This album really is unbelievable.

Ahh there's that 5. Yea dude take your time. I've always just came back to individual songs recently but it's been many months since I listened to it as a whole experience. This time hit me even harder for some reason.

Normally I hate when bands start an album with a short intro passage of noise, but Prosag is literally perfect for starting off Freaks & Animals. Then the rest of the album is truly an experience. There is not a single song off of it that is shy of being great.
Each of those climaxes where the singer just breaks and looses it send chills down my spine EVERY time I hear them

Yea dude Andrew has a stunning voice. Eidolon Alpha and Pandora hit me so hard for personal reasons. I just wish the drums were a little louder and the guitars weren't that harsh at some points but I've gotten over that. I love it too much.

I had the same experience with the guitars and drumming, but I've come to realize (especially after listening to their next album) that even though these guys could definitely shred if they wanted to, the instrumentals are there to provide textures for Andrews performance. Its like a theatrical experience, but instead of an orchestra backing the vocals its a rock outfit. And because of the dark tones it fits wonderfully.

Yea it's supposed to be vocally driven and it fuckin pays off so well. If you listen hard enough though the drummer is really good.

Sitar, the terrible things I'd do to have the power to sing like that lol Damn he has a set of pipes like no other.
Honestly I can understand not likely this. There are some tough in cheeks moments like on Freaks and Animals but I think it's meant to be that cause it makes fun of the entertainment industry as a whole.
