I never loved it. The best I thought it was worth was a 3.5 as you can see above all my posts in this thread.
/reminds me to change opinion of it right now

Well, I've heard that Hypnotize will be the opposite of Mezmerize. Mezmerize is light and poppy while Hypnotize will be dark and serious. That's what I heard anyway.

well from what i heard from the song hypnotize, its pretty good, and kinda has a toxicity (album) feel to it. I kinda dont like the fact they keep using the same phrase over and over, but otherwise, hypnotize (the song) is... dare i say.... hypnotic

I personally think that System of a Down is overrated. But that's only me.

someone should tell that gremlin that SOAD have for a guitarist that he can't sing
|

Haha, Gremlin.

Neither of them can really.

Sure they can't sing? But who cares? Singing is really just an instrument like everything else. And plenty of bands still are great even though they have people who cant sing or play the best guitar. (Blink 182, for example)

their voice is original and unique, and i love the backup singer. its so, creepy yet awesome. it grows on u

For those interested (and if not, you're on the wrong thread) Hypnotize (the whole album) is being streamed from MTV.com until Tuesday when its released. I've been listening to it non-stop for the past few days. I won't say anything specific as it is still unreleased, but in my opinion it blows Mezmerize out of the water. Check it out.

Thx dude, I'll check it out

a reveiw on it would be awesome....lets get an expert reviewer on this

Like I said, I'd gladly do it, but its still pre-release, and someone will beat me to it once it comes out. Plus there are probably people more qualified than me, though i love these guys to death.

This band annoys me as of late.
|

Maybe it's on another album, but I heard it on the radio about 2 months ago so it's most likely to be on here...
Is there a song that has a section that sounds kind of like greek ska that gradually gets faster as it goes on?
|
| |
Yep, that was the one, thanks bro.
The more I hear of this album, the more I like it. I was never into the spazzy, fast side of SOAD, but their melodic songs are pretty good. I must have only heard the latter from this so far.
