Weezer had 2 near pitch perfect records in the 90's, by sounding like kids practicing in a garage. That feel is gone from thier music since Matt Sharp left after Pinkerton. He was the driving force to balance the band out. Now that it was left to just Rivers, the band's sound pretty much changed to a more slicked up production sound, which basically killed what Weezer had going for them. Since then their albums have been mediocre at best. Sure every band has their flaws, but not for the most parts of their last 3 albums.

I liked both self titled albums, Pinkerton, and Maladroit a lot, but this album just sucks.
